35mm Slide Scanning

35mm slides are digitized at 2400dpi and saved as JPG files which can be easily stored on any digital media. You only need to assure that slide mounts are intact and in good shape so they can be fed through our machine.

Due to the initial setup requirements, our minimum charge is $20.00. Bulk slide scanning for as little as $0.45 per slide (based on a minimum of 100 slides).

Print Scanning

Our flatbed scanners can be used to digitize any flat image. We can help you preserve your photographs, your child's drawings, your diplomas, contracts or anything else you would like to have in a digital format. If it's flat, bring it in and we'll scan it for you.

Negative Scanning

We can easily scan 35mm negatives from rolls or strips for the purpose of digitizing or making prints. We also offer this service for larger format films including 126, 120/620, 2.25 x 3.25 and every incremental size up to 8 x 10". As scanning larger negatives is a more time-consuming process, prices are higher. Negatives are typically scanned at 1200dpi but can be increased to 2400dpi if the file is to be used for a large format print.

Large Format Scanning

Our large format scanner can handle print media up to 36" in width and lengths up to 72". The output resolution is typically 600dpi which results in very large files which usually exceed the maximum email size. Therefore it is advisable to provide a memory stick to which these files can be copied.

Originals must be on paper, no heavier than 8pt card stock and cannot have attachments, tears or any damage that would limit the ability to feed the original through our machine. We cannot feed heavy (stiff) items through the machine.

This process is frequently used to digitize blue prints / architectural drawings. This service is priced based on quantity and size of the originals.

Archiving

Archiving is the process of storing digital images to one of several types of storage media: memory stick, hard-drive, CD or DVD disk. A valuable part of archiving is the organization of images so they can be easily recalled without which, you may have a mass of images and no idea of what they are without using a viewing program.

Shoebox Scanning

This is an economical way to digitize old photos which can be subsequently printed or viewed on your computer. As pat of this service, we can burn the images to a CD or DVD

or copy the to a memory stick (bring your own).

Shoebox scans are at 300dpi (at the size of the original photo) and are saved as .jpg files. If you're a digital photo enthusiast, you can use these digital files to build a DVD slide show or a web site, make photo books, or send photos by e-mail. Although the scans are good, they are not of the same quality as our higher priced custom copy service. We don't recommend using them to make enlargements larger than 8x12.

Photographic prints must be at least 3 x 5.0 inches and no bigger than 8x10 inches. They must be un-mounted, not torn or bent and must be free of Post-it notes, tape, staples and adhesives. Photos that have been stored in adhesive albums (the ones with the clear peel away cover sheet), and thick Polaroid or Kodak instant prints, will not feed through the scanner.

We can only scan loose prints so they must be removed from albums. Sort your prints in the order you wish to view them, first one on the bottom.

Other sizes can be scanned, from 2 x 3" up to 24 x 36". Price varies with size and quality of the original.
